Job Description

A professional membership body is looking to recruit an Academic Qualifications Executive to be responsible for all aspects of the assessment of academic qualifications within the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for staff, outside organisations and potential members about the academic and learning processes.
  • Provide advice to internal and external audiences about the professional qualifications obtained through this organisation.
  • Create and maintain relevant guidance documents and website content.
  • Perform secretariat duties for a range of panels associated with the academic processes.
  • Assist with the training of volunteer members undertaking academic qualifications.
  • Audit the data associated with the academic qualifications division.
  • Produce accreditation visit reports when necessary.

 

Skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Educated to degree standard, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with committees, and using quality control processes.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience liaising with customers at different levels.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to analyse data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Project would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload under pressure.
  • Knowledge of the range of academic qualifications available at colleges and universities and the structure of UK Higher Education is desirable.

 

Salary and benefits:

  • £29,000 pro rata
  • Full time, fixed term contract until May 2018
