Job Description

A prestigious statutory body is recruiting a Communications and Engagement Executive to develop and deliver their communications activities, tailoring communications with internal and external audiences across a range of media for maximum promotional impact.

Key Responsibilities of the Communications and Engagement Executive:

  • Produce the organisation’s newsletter, writing content, commissioning additional articles, and monitoring the impact it has based on monthly metrics.
  • Create and develop briefings, reports, and consultation responses in alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
  • Produce content for the organisation’s communications channels, coordinating with other team members, and ensuring output is informed by analytics and research.
  • Work to ensure consistency of messaging and support the optimal use of the organisation’s website, social media, and other platforms.
  • Contribute to the success of the organisation’s presence at physical and virtual events, planning attendance and any required communications materials.
  • Promote the work that the organisation undertakes, developing external relationships with a particular focus on policy-makers and decision-makers within key institutions and strategic partners.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level within a communications-related subject, or with equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience of leading digital communications – ideally within a charity or public sector environment – and demonstrable hands-on knowledge of creating clear papers, web pages, and reports.
  • Strong time management abilities, with experience of identifying new initiatives and developing creative solutions to operational challenges.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a small organisation and maintain close professional ties with a variety of external partners.

Salary and Benefits:

  • £46,500 per annum.
  • Full-time, permanent role.
  • Based in London, just south of the Thames - with remote working provision for part of the week.
