Job Description

A well-respected professional membership body is looking to recruit a highly-organised Event Coordinator to oversee the operational requirements for a range of exhibitions and conferences, including maintaining close working relationships with partners,

Key Responsibilities of the Event Coordinator Role:

  • Communicate with delegates and speakers to ensure the smooth running of events, including answering queries, undertaking risk assessments, and supporting audio-visual requirements.
  • Design online adverts and registration materials for conferences and events.
  • Maintain close communications with sponsors and exhibitors to deliver successful events.
  • Produce delegate packs and arrange for the transportation of other materials.
  • Source external venues and equipment for third-party events.
  • Oversee post-event feedback processes, incorporating insights.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience.
  • Event management skills, with demonstrable experience of successful delivery of a programme of events for a professional body.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills, with knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and event management packages.

Salary and Information:

  • c£21.00 - c£24.50 per hour, depending on level of experience.
  • Temporary, part-time (4 days/week) position, with an immediate start. Due to become ongoing following the initial 6-week, with a permanent vacancy underlying it.
  • Based in Central London, with provision for remote working for one day per week.
