Job Description

A professional membership body is looking to recruit a Membership Administrator to provide exemplary clerical support to a busy team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for membership queries.
  • Maintain and update the membership database.
  • Assist in financial tasks such as processing membership subscriptions, monitoring grant payments, handling petty cash and issuing receipts and invoices.
  • Coordinate the new member applications process and mass postal and e-mailings to members.
  • Administer the organisation’s grants process.
  • Assist with developing a strategy for membership recruitment and retention.
  • Attend events to help actively promote membership.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to A-level standard, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload under pressure.


Salary and Benefits:

  • c£22,000 - £24,000 pro rata
  • Temporary, full time position – minimum 3 months
